In Bengaluru, a startling incident unfolded as a 22-year-old woman, employed at a BPO firm, stumbled upon a collection of 13,000 compromising photos on her partner's phone. The cache included images of herself, coworkers, and other unidentified women.

This discovery emerged amidst escalating worries surrounding deepfakes and the dissemination of misleading or indecent content. The woman's relationship took a distressing turn when she browsed through her colleague-turned-boyfriend's phone, uncovering a substantial assortment of compromising images.

The individual in question, Adithya Santosh, had been working as a customer service agent at the company for five months. The company clarified that no company devices were used to manipulate or edit the photos. Subsequently, the police initiated an investigation and apprehended Santosh from his workplace.

Law enforcement officials expressed the need for additional time to ascertain the motive behind possessing such a vast photo collection. They revealed that some images were manipulated while others were genuine. Furthermore, they are probing whether Santosh leveraged these photos for blackmail purposes. The investigation extends to examining his communication records.
