In 2024, Virat Kohli led the Indian Premier League with Hardik Pandya by his side. Pandya, who had captained the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, begged the crowd not to jeer their franchise leader on Thursday while playing for the Mumbai Indians.

Kohli's actions demonstrated what cricket is all about. Standing in the middle of the field, Kohli gestured to spare Pandya from the brutal jeers during the twenty-fifth Indian Premier League 2024 encounter between RCB and MI at the prestigious Wankhde Stadium.

Ever since Pandya took over as captain after Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai Indians fan base has been focusing on the all-round player. Prior to the start of the new season, Hardik completed his incredible money-only transfer from Gujarat Titans to Mumbai. When Pandya travelled to Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad, his supporters were incredibly antagonistic. When some fans at Wankhede mocked Hardik, superstar Virat Kohli reminded the Mumbai supporters that the team's captain represented India internationally.

When Hardik came out to put an end to the Mumbai Paltan's run chase, there was no anger aimed against the captain of the Mumbai Indians. Kohli ordered the Wankhede fans to cheer for their captain, sparing Hardik from the angry response.

The instant Kohli executed his cunning approach to calm the throng, it became well-liked by the supporters. On social media, a large number of spectators and fans of the match praised Kohli for his professionalism and fair play. Pandya's six helped Mumbai win the Indian Premier League match at the sold-out Wankhede stadium.
