Vijay Deverakonda: Each Script I Picked, Including Liger, was Amazing – But Execution Had Its Own Plans !

Vijay Deverakonda, Liger

In preparation for the release of the romantic comedy "Kushi," Vijay Deverakonda is paired with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, known for works like "Ninnu Kori" and "Majili," "Khushi" is scheduled to debut on September 1.

For Devarakonda, this film carries significant weight, considering his recent projects struggled to make an impact at the box office. Notably, even his highly anticipated sports action movie "Liger," under the direction of Puri Jagannadh, faced challenges and criticism due to its performance.

Vijay Deverakonda reiterated his commitment to the films he joined, noting strong scripts but disappointing execution.

Nonetheless, the actor renowned for "Geetha Govindam" has made it clear that he stands firmly behind every film he became a part of. He clarified that while the scripts held immense promise, the execution fell short of expectations.

"I understand this statement might be hard to accept, but I genuinely believe that every script I've chosen was exceptional. It was the execution that veered off track. Just like an inside joke that only works between friends when the delivery and timing are impeccable, films like Liger, NOTA, and even Dear Comrade faced issues," he shared in a candid conversation with Cinema Express.

"Certainly, I would have approached things differently, including employing diverse promotional strategies. Each narrative I selected had the potential to be a massive success, yet somehow, it didn't materialize," he further remarked.

"Every time I embark on a film project, I feel a weight of emotional responsibility. Those who have faith in my work anticipate my success. Naturally, there's also the business aspect to consider. I'm a theater owner myself, so I understand how the fate of movies impacts the larger ecosystem," he observed.
