Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Razaullah Nizamani, alias Abu Saifullah, was shot dead in Sindh, Pakistan. He masterminded several major terror attacks in India, including the 2006 RSS HQ strike and the 2005 IISc shooting. His death marks a major blow to LeT’s operations and cross-border terror networks.

Razaullah Nizamani, also known as Abu Saifullah Khalid, a key commander of the terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), was gunned down by unidentified assailants in Pakistan’s Sindh province on Sunday. The killing occurred near Matli Phalkara chowk, close to his residence in Matli. Nizamani had reportedly been under state protection by Pakistani authorities at the time of his death.
A major figure in cross-border terrorism, Nizamani was considered the mastermind behind several deadly attacks on Indian soil. He played a leading role in orchestrating the 2006 assault on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur, a high-profile attack that had wide-reaching political and security implications. He was also linked to the 2005 Indian Institute of Science (IISc) shooting in Bengaluru and the 2001 CRPF camp attack in Rampur, which left seven personnel dead.
Beyond direct attacks, Nizamani’s involvement with the LeT extended to managing finances and recruitment across South Asia. He operated a terror module through Nepal, facilitating the movement of militants across the Indo-Nepal border. Working closely with top LeT operatives like Azam Cheema and Yaqoob, Nizamani was also involved in fundraising and logistic planning for both LeT and Jamat-ud-Dawa.

His multiple aliases, including Vinod Kumar, and marriage to a Nepali national allowed him to operate across borders with relative ease. Nizamani's killing is being viewed as a significant blow to the LeT’s operational structure in the region. Security agencies in India have closely followed his activities for years due to his role in some of the most severe terrorist incidents the country has witnessed.
