Former English cricketer Michael Vaughan has expressed dissatisfaction with the scheduling of the T20I series between India and Australia, which is set to commence just four days after the World Cup final. The final clash is a repeat of the 2003 World Cup, taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19. Following the closely contested semi-final between Australia and South Africa on November 16, the T20I series is scheduled to kick off on November 23.

Vaughan, known for his straightforward opinions, conveyed his disapproval via a tweet, emphasizing the need for finalists to have a brief respite before engaging in another series. He criticized the decision as 'greed' and 'overkill,' suggesting that victorious players should be granted a couple of weeks for proper celebration.

Australia has already named its squad for the T20I series, featuring six players from the World Cup squad. Players such as David Warner, Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Josh Inglis, and Sean Abbott are set to participate in the series, raising concerns about player fatigue.

While it's reported that most Indian players from the World Cup may not participate in the T20I series, an official squad announcement is still pending. Suryakumar Yadav is speculated to lead the team if the series takes place.

The cricket community awaits further developments as discussions on scheduling and player well-being continue, with Vaughan's critique highlighting the broader debate on balancing competitive cricket and player rest.
