Chouhan's resignation came after the BJP's impressive win in the state's Assembly elections, securing 163 out of 230 seats. The party chose Mohan Yadav as the new Chief Minister. Chouhan, a dominant figure in Madhya Pradesh politics for nearly two decades, stepped down, marking the end of an era.

Despite not being projected as the CM face in the elections, Chouhan's game-changer schemes like 'Ladli Behna' aimed at women's welfare garnered significant attention. The scheme, benefiting over a crore women, provided monthly financial aid and promised future increments.

Chouhan's legacy in the state's politics remains poignant, with his emotional connect and impactful initiatives leaving a lasting impression, even as the political landscape undergoes a transition in Madhya Pradesh.
