In its opening weekend, "Shaitaan," featuring Bollywood heavyweights Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, stormed the box office, achieving a significant milestone by crossing the coveted Rs 50 crore mark. Directed by Vikas Bahl, this suspense thriller has captivated audiences with its gripping storyline and stellar performances.

The film's success story began on Friday with a remarkable opening of Rs 14.75 crore, setting the stage for a promising weekend ahead. As the weekend progressed, "Shaitaan" continued its impressive run, garnering positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth buzz among moviegoers.

On Sunday alone, the film witnessed a substantial surge in collections, adding nearly Rs 20 crore to its box office tally. This surge, coupled with consistent audience turnout, propelled the film's total earnings past the Rs 50 crore milestone, marking a significant achievement for the cast and crew.

According to industry reports, "Shaitaan" maintained a commendable overall occupancy rate of 36.24 percent on Sunday, with evening shows particularly drawing large crowds. Directed by Vikas Bahl, "Shaitaan" is a Hindi adaptation of the popular Gujarati horror film "Vash" released in 2023. Alongside R Madhavan's compelling portrayal of the antagonist, Ajay Devgn and Jyothika deliver captivating performances as Janki's on-screen parents.
