NDA's Commitment

During a gathering of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led opposition parties. He criticized the Congress for forming coalitions with negative intentions in the 1990s, which, according to him, resulted in destabilizing the nation. In contrast, Modi highlighted that the formation of the NDA aimed at ensuring stability rather than toppling governments.

Modi accused the Congress of exploiting alliances in the 1990s to create instability by forming governments only to dismantle them later. In contrast, he emphasized that the NDA came into existence in 1998 with the primary objective of providing stability to the nation. He further asserted that the NDA, even during its time in opposition, engaged in positive politics, exposing government scandals without disrespecting the people's mandate or resorting to foreign intervention.

The Prime Minister firmly represents a NDA coalition of contribution rather than compulsion, where no party holds superior or inferior status. He underscored the NDA's commitment to regional aspirations and its pivotal role in propelling the nation's progress over the past 25 years.

Comprising 38 parties, the NDA warmly welcomed its leaders to the event with floral bouquets and ceremonial stoles accompanied by lively drum beats. Prime Minister Modi received a warm welcome from various NDA leaders, including BJP President J P Nadda, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde of the Shiv Sena, AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, and Hindustani Awam Morcha leader Jitan Ram Manjhi.

During the gathering, Modi interacted with NDA leaders, exchanging greetings and pleasantries. Notably, he shared a warm embrace with Chirag Paswan of the LJP (Ram Vilas) party after Paswan respectfully greeted him and touched his feet. In a group photo session, rebel NCP leader Ajit Pawar, Shinde, and Palaniswami stood alongside Prime Minister Modi in the front row, accompanied by Home Minister Amit Shah, Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. This display of unity among NDA leaders further emphasized the alliance's solidarity and common purpose.
