The India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO)’s Pragati Maidan in New Delhi has been chosen as the coveted venue for the G20 Summit, 2023 to be hosted by India in September.

The Redevelopment Project at Pragati Maidan

In January, 2017, the Central Government had approved the plan of redeveloping the Pragati Maidan of New Delhi at a whopping budget of 2,254 crores. The plan included the construction of the Integrated Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) with a seating capacity of 7,000 people. In addition to this, an amphitheater has also been built with a seating capacity of 3,000 people.

Now, with an area of 123 acres, Pragati Maidan has become one of the largest in the world for global meetings or more appropriately, Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).

The Inauguration of Pragati Maidan, New Delhi

PM Narendra Modi will be inaugurating this world class MICE venue on 26th July, 2023. The inauguration is being organized ahead of the G20 Summit, 2023 scheduled on 9th and 10th of September. The infrastructure is sure to give a facelift to the global outlook of India before global leaders.
