In a significant move, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs, victorious in State Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, tendered their resignations from Parliament. This decision, made after consultations led by BJP Chief JP Nadda and PM Narendra Modi, marked a pivotal shift.

Among those stepping down were notable figures like Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Singh Patel, Rakesh Singh, Uday Pratap, and Riti Pathak from Madhya Pradesh; Arun Sao and Gomati Sai from Chhattisgarh; Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Kirodi Lal Meena from Rajasthan. Tomar and Patel also relinquished roles in the Union Cabinet, whereas Kirodi Lal Meena, the sole Rajya Sabha MP resigned.

Sources indicated that Union Minister Renuka Singh and Mahant Balaknath from Lok Sabha would also tender their resignations soon.

This shift in Parliament reflects the BJP's strategic planning to nominate new chief ministers in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. The resignations encompassed key figures like Diya Kumari, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, and Rakesh Singh, shaping a transformational phase in Indian politics.

With the BJP's sweeping victory in Madhya Pradesh and the acquisition of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh from Congress, the party consolidates its influence in the Hindi heartland. This resounding success not only underscores its regional dominance but also sets the stage for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
