However, the excitement surrounding his captaincy debut was dampened as his inaugural press conference witnessed an unexpected scarcity of media representation, with only two journalists in attendance.

Contrasting the bustling media fervour witnessed during the recent ODI World Cup, Yadav faced an unanticipated minimal audience during his maiden address as India's skipper.
