This stellar performance handed India a 2-1 lead in the tie, setting the stage for an exciting finish.

In the subsequent match, Sumit Nagal, India's highest-ranked men's singles player at 156, displayed outstanding tennis, defeating Morocco's Yassine Dlimi (world No. 557) with a score of 6-3, 6-3, further extending India's lead to 3-1.
