The second installment of this iconic blockbuster, titled Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, has generated immense excitement and curiosity since the release of its first look. The overwhelming response from the audience during the film's re-release showcased the deep affection and enduring connection that viewers hold for this beloved cinematic masterpiece.


In adherence to the mandatory protocol for army-themed films in India, the makers of Gadar 2 organized a special screening, wherein they received an overwhelmingly positive response from the esteemed officials. The Ministry of Defence Preview Committee not only granted its endorsement to Gadar 2 but also showered the film with words of praise and admiration.

During an exclusive interview with ETimes, Anil Sharma divulged the reason behind the considerable time gap before returning with the sequel. He expressed his reluctance to merely capitalize on the brand name of 'Gadar' without a genuine narrative progression for Tara Singh and Sakina. Anil Sharma disclosed that despite hearing around 50 stories, none resonated with him, prompting him to wait until the perfect script came along.
