Despite their affectionate interactions with the cat, both father and son fell victim to the deadly disease within a mere week of the initial contact.

The devastating turn of events sent shockwaves throughout the locality, sparking widespread panic among residents. The news of the deaths spread rapidly, instilling fear and urgency among neighbours and authorities alike. Immediate actions were taken to safeguard the remaining family members, swiftly relocating them to Kanpur for urgent medical evaluations to prevent further contagion.

This incident, marked by the grim consequences of a seemingly harmless pet interaction, heightened concerns among the populace. Fears loomed large that others might have encountered the infected cat, prompting an urgent call for vigilance and caution among those who might have been in contact with the animal.

In response to this tragic episode, medical experts, notably senior doctor Amit Katiyar, underscored the criticality of preventive measures.
