The BJP in Telangana prepares for the 2024 General Elections by appointing in-charges for 17 Lok Sabha constituencies. Led by G Kishan Reddy, key leaders including Dr K Laxman and T Raja Singh take charge of crucial constituencies, aiming to bolster the party's presence after recent state election outcomes.

Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana, under the leadership of G Kishan Reddy, the state president and Union Minister, took decisive steps by appointing in-charges for 17 crucial Lok Sabha constituencies. This strategic move aimed to fortify the party's positioning and organizational readiness for the impending electoral battle.

The announcement made on Monday revealed the strategic placements: Dr K Laxman, a prominent Rajya Sabha MP, emerged as the designated in-charge for the Secunderabad constituency, while MLA T Raja Singh assumed responsibilities for overseeing operations in the Hyderabad constituency. The party strategically enlisted former MP Garikapati Mohan Rao as the lead for the Mahabubabad constituency. Notably, this comprehensive selection encompassed the inclusion of newly elected MLAs, thereby expanding the party's outreach and representation.

In a concerted effort to ensure a robust organizational structure, the BJP extended roles to all eight recently elected BJP MLAs, entrusting them as in-charges for various constituencies. These political appointees are poised to oversee a spectrum of responsibilities, including effective coordination and active engagement in campaign strategies crucial for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

This move holds particular significance in light of the BJP's past electoral performance in Telangana. While the party secured four out of the 17 seats in the 2019 general elections, its recent performance in the state's legislative assembly polls saw a limited success, capturing only eight seats out of 119. The recalibration in assigning in-charges signifies the BJP's concerted efforts to revamp its approach and reinforce its position within Telangana's intricate political landscape.

The tactical allocation of responsibilities to key leaders within the party reflects a strategic approach aimed at consolidating support and amplifying the BJP's reach in Telangana. The focus remains on leveraging these strategic placements to navigate the complexities of the upcoming elections and potentially expand the party's influence within the state.

This calculated move underscores the BJP's determination to realign and strengthen its footing in Telangana, setting the stage for an intriguing political landscape ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
