Indian cricketer Ishant Sharma has stirred up controversy with his recent statement about MS Dhoni, in which he said ‘Mahi bhai often used abusive language on the field'.

Dhoni, who is commonly referred to as "Captain Cool," was not always calm and composed on the field and would often use abusive language, revealed Sharma. Ishant claimed that contrary to his popular image as "Captain Cool", Dhoni's strength does not lie in remaining calm and composed. He further mentioned that Dhoni frequently used abusive language on the field and even shouted at him on multiple occasions.

The 35-year-old right-arm fast-medium bowler was in a conversation with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadiya when he made the explosive statement regarding former India captain MS Dhoni. He said, “Mahi bhai has many strengths. But calm and cool isn’t one of them. He often uses abusive language on the field, and I’ve heard it firsthand,” Ishant said.

Sharma also stated that while he had witnessed MS Dhoni using abusive language on the field, he had rarely seen the former India captain display anger. When asked about any specific incidents where Dhoni lost his temper, Ishant recalled an incident involving himself.

He said," “I haven't seen Mahi bhai angry except once when I threw the ball, and it went down."  He revealed that he threw the ball, and it went down, which prompted Dhoni to give him a stern look. Subsequently, Ishant threw the ball again, and it went down once more. When the third throw also resulted in the same, Dhoni yelled ‘Hit it in the hand’ with an expletive.”

The Indian fast bowler further mentioned, “Whether it’s during the IPL or with the Indian team, people are always around him. You’ll find someone or the other sitting with Mahi bhai. It’s like the feeling of being in a village, just missing the trees.”
