In the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024, the spotlight falls on Ahmedabad East, where the battle lines are drawn between Congress' Rohan Gupta and BJP's Hasmukh Patel. Scheduled for May 7, this contest adds fervor to Gujarat's political landscape.

Amidst the nationwide election fervor, Gujarat, with its 26 seats, gears up for the third phase of polling on May 7. The state holds significance as the home turf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Historically, the BJP has dominated Gujarat's electoral scene.

Hasmukh Patel, the incumbent BJP MP from Ahmedabad East, aims to secure victory yet again. In 2019, he succeeded actor Paresh Rawal. Patel's political journey saw him representing the Committee on Textiles and Water Resources in the 17th Lok Sabha. His opponent, Rohan Gupta, a prominent Congress spokesperson, poses a formidable challenge.

Rohan Gupta, former head of Congress' social media wing and a national spokesperson, enters the electoral fray with hopes of wresting the seat from BJP's grip. The Election Commission's announcement of poll dates sets the stage for a high-stakes battle.
